This blog is mainly about personal development. The secret of winning in life lies in seeing life differently - in its different shades and outcomes. For winners life is not a tedious journey from the womb to the tomb. It is a journey about crossing milestones and looking forward to new ones. The winners in life think constantly in terms of I can, I will, and I am,"

New Year Resolution???
New Year Resolutions are nothing but short-term annual goals that help us to improve and break out of bad habits. However, most people forget about it the very next day and get on with their jobs and lives as usual. Mark Twain had very aptly commented, 'Yesterday, everybody smoked his last cigar, took his last drink and swore his last oath. Today, we are a pious and exemplary community. Thirty days from now, we shall have cast our reformation to the winds and gone to cutting our ancient shortcomings considerably shorter than ever.' Here are some tips that you can keep in mind while making your list of New Year Resolutions 2006, so that you actually keep them:
-> Evaluate the price in terms of sacrifice, risk, time, efforts, money, perseverance and willpower that you will need to fulfill your New Year resolution and be ready to pay it.
-> Give yourself a prize or a gift whenever you complete a New Year Resolution so that you are encouraged to fulfill others too.
->If you have not completed your last year's resolution, include it again in your list for 2006 and make sure that you keep it this time. Also examine the points that made you fail and try to overcome them.
-> Keep only one or few resolutions that you can actually follow. Too many resolutions will discourage you from approaching the list. So choose whether you want to learn dancing this year or learn paragliding.
-> Place reminders that keep popping up weekly or every third day throughout the year so that you do not chuck out your New year Resolution list once the euphoria celebration wears off. These reminders can be kept in your daily diary, set online or be from your close friends. You can also keep resolution journals for the purpose that you go through regularly.
-> Remember New Year Resolutions do not include such things, as I will not call my ex-boyfriend for three days. The resolutions here are meant for the entire year.
-> Set only realistic goals. Some things may actually seem stylish and trendy but may not be your cup of tea. Opt them out already. While you want to go for rock climbing like all your friends, you may not feel like it actually. Thus, cross out such resolutions beforehand.
-> Tell someone close about your resolutions so he or she can shake you up a little whenever you are losing your track.

Attitude
Attitude makes meaning out of whatever may be happening. It is our emotional interface with the world. Are you more troubled by your troubles, or by your attitude toward them? You control your attitude, and by so doing you determine the meaning and influence of your experiences.
Attitude can take a problem and make it so intense as to be completely overwhelming. Attitude can find a tiny kernel of goodness and magnify it to fill the whole day.
Your attitude is yours to control. Use it to make the most of your life.

Limitations
What are your limitations? Do you see them as an excuse for defeat, as a reason to give up? The limitations you face are not there to stop you, but rather to challenge and ultimately to support you. Limitations provide a frame of reference, something to push against, a way to grow.
Everything you have ever accomplished, has been done in spite of your limitations. You've proven, over and over again, that you can overcome your own unique challenges. Refuse to let your limitations stand in the way of your possibilities.

You are Worthy
You are unique; you are special. You are creative and effective. You have much value to offer, regardless of what anyone has told you. And no one can express that value but you. You're the one who can do it. You're the only one who can be you. You are the person who deserves to live your dream. You're the only one who has what it takes to reach that dream.
If you can see it, if you can imagine it, if you can dream it, you are worthy of reaching it. And it is possible. No one will hand it to you. In fact you'll strive day and night to reach it. When you give the best you have, when you refuse to be stopped by the obstacles in your way, when you do what must be done, you'll get what you deserve -- a full, rich life that is like no other. Each day, with your thoughts and actions, live up to the fact that you're the best.

Self Doubt
The problem comes when self dissatisfaction turns into self doubt. Often, we feel frustrated or disappointed about the past, and we project those feelings into doubt about the future.
The future, however, has not happened yet. And so it makes no sense to be negative about it. The future is full of limitless possibilities. Your own future is largely under your own control. Your future is not determined by your past. It is determined by you, and by the actions you take from this point on.
Use your past disappointments not as an excuse to doubt yourself, but as a guide to improving your future. There is no reason to doubt yourself or your own abilities. In fact, the very impulse to doubt yourself is an indication that you know you can do better. Look past the doubt, past previous shortcomings, and you'll discover a bright future.

Great Ideas
And yet, the idea alone is not enough. Ideas are worthless without execution. By itself, an idea does not accomplish anything -- it has value only to the extent that it is acted upon.
You've probably had hundreds or even thousands of workable ideas. And the only ones which ever amounted to anything, were the ones you acted upon.
Ideas create value when action is invested in them. In fact, the more you act on your ideas, the better those ideas become. Why? If you never have to act on your ideas, you don't care if they're realistic or not. Knowing that you must actually follow your ideas, makes them sharper, more realistic and more successful. Action imposes a healthy discipline on your thinking, and brings your ideas to life.
An idea is the roadmap to success. it is not success itself. An idea is a great start, but only if you keep on going. Respect and value your great ideas by acting them into reality.

Staying positive
Staying positive in the midst of troubles does not mean that you should live in a state of denial, refusing to even acknowledge your problems. Rather, you must clearly see the problems and all their implications, and refuse to let them get you down. Then go beyond that, and look for how you can turn the negative into a positive.
In every difficulty, there is opportunity. In order to see that opportunity, you must look for it. That means looking clearly and objectively at the problem, free of self pity or wishful thinking.
You can be positive, no matter what. Don't deny your problems, and don't let them deny you.

Giving challenge
And so it follows that one of the kindest things you can do for other people is to make it possible for them be needed. In your desire to help others, you naturally think of giving comfort and pleasure. Look for a way to also give challenge -- the challenge to make a difference.
Several years ago, certain residents of a nursing home were given the opportunity to make a difference when they were each permitted to select a houseplant and to make decisions related to its care. After a year and a half, the residents who were caring for houseplants were found to be more cheerful, active and alert, with less than half the death rate as a similar group of residents who were not caring for plants.
Even the most seemingly insignificant challenges can be truly life enhancing. Make a big difference by providing others with the opportunity to make a difference, too.

Accountable
What will you do today to uphold the responsibility you have to your own possibilities? What about in the next twenty minutes? What consequences will your actions produce?
Hold yourself accountable, and the consequences work in your favor. Accept the responsibility for your own life, and you gain control of your own destiny. It's easy, and often very reasonable, to blame your troubles on something or someone outside yourself. It's easy to expect other people, or changing conditions, to solve your problems for you. It's easy to expect dumb luck to bring fulfillment into your life. Easy, and yet sadly misguided.
Ultimately, only you can be accountable for you. It is a serious responsibility and a boundless opportunity.

The Seed
Anyone has the capacity to do great things, yet far too few know it or believe it. No matter how fertile the ground may be, if no seed is planted, nothing will grow. How many lives have been wasted in misery and destruction because they never received even the smallest seed of positive encouragement?
A seed is tiny. Yet when it is planted in the right place and at the right time, and nurtured with care, that tiny seed can grow into a ceaselessly abundant harvest.
Think of the lives around you where the seed of encouragement can take root and grow. Think of the difference you can make when you encourage yourself and when you offer your encouragement to others. Think of the seeds that you have the opportunity to plant. Spread the seeds of encouragement far and wide, and delight in the bountiful harvest that they will surely bring.

Listen
People are happy to tell you all you need to know if you'll only make the effort to listen. Listen not only with your ears. Listen with your knowledge, your intuition, your compassion, your experience, your culture. Listen well and you will know.
Listen carefully and you'll hear opportunity knocking. Listen sincerely and you'll hear the truth. Listen with an open mind and you'll hear a teacher. Listen politely and you'll hear a friend. Listen to the world, understand and consider, and the world will listen to you.
" We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand - and melting like a snowflake."

If you care
The way to be most effective at any task is to care about it. When you care, you put all you have into the effort. When you care, you find ways to do it better, and better ways to do it.
If you don't care about what you're doing, ask yourself why you're even doing it in the first place. There may indeed be a reason why you do care about it, that you just haven't realized. For example, if it's something related to your job, even though you don't care about the task, you probably care about your job. Or you care about your paycheck. Or you care about earning money to feed your family.
Either at some point there's a reason to care, or there's no reason to be doing it. Care about what you're doing and you become vastly more effective at getting it done. If you're going to make the effort, isn't that the best way to have it happen?
"Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing themselves"

Difficulties
A life full of challenge is often stressful and uncomfortable, but it is vastly better than the alternative, which is a life full of nothing. Your own particular challenges may seem extremely unfair, and they probably are. But that doesn't make them any less real, nor does it make you any less obligated to confront and endure them.
Accept the challenges when they appear, and you're well on the way to overcoming them. Though they bring disruption and pain, they also bring growth and power. Sometimes what is best for us, is not what we would choose. Life is difficult and in it we find unimaginable joy. Accept it all and live it for all it's worth.
" From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life."
Reminders
There was once a woman who went to work in a home-based direct selling business. Her husband told her she was crazy, and that she was wasting her time, but she didn't let his opinion dampen her enthusiasm. She taped a photograph of an expensive luxury car on her bathroom mirror, where she would see it every day and be motivated to succeed in her business. Her husband just laughed. Then one day she drove home in a brand new car, purchased with the income from her business. It was the same model and color as in the picture. The next morning, her husband had removed the picture from the bathroom mirror and taped up another one -- of a brand new ski boat. Though he had ridiculed the method, he could not deny the result.
When you're working to achieve something, it is vital to have a clear idea of what it is, and to keep that idea at the forefront of your attention. Otherwise, too many influences are ready and waiting to knock you off track. What reminders do you have to keep you focused on your success? Keep remembering where you're headed, and you'll have the strength to get there.

Nagging little problems
The major problems, we find a way to overcome or at least endure. Yet it is the little, nagging, everyday problems which often are the most destructive. They're the ones we consider too trivial to tackle, and so they continue to take their toll, unchallenged, day after day. Over time, it adds up.
What nagging problems have been eating away at you? Pick one today and fix it. It probably won't even take much effort -- just a little time and commitment. And then tomorrow, go after another one. Think how quickly you could rid yourself of your little, nagging problems if you just worked on one each day.
Of course you want to resolve the big challenges that come up. But often times when you solve a big problem, it just keeps you even. Do something about the little problems too, and your effort will pay dividends far into the future. What little things can you work on, that will make a big difference?

STAND IN FAITH
Even when you can't see your way
Stand in faith
Even when you feel like you can't face another day
Stand in faith
Even when the tears want to flow from your eyes
Stand in faith
Knowing that our God will always provide
Stand in faith
Even when you feel that all hope is gone
Stand in faith
Knowing that He is always there for you to lean on
Stand in faith
Even when you feel like giving up
Stand in faith
Because He is there ... saying, "Just look up"
Stand in faith
Even in those times you feel so all alone
Stand in faith
Hold on and be strong, for He is still on the throne
Stand in faith
Even when it's hard to believe
Stand in Faith
Knowing that He can change your situation, suddenly
Stand in faith
Even in those times you feel it's hard to pray
Stand in faith
And believe that He has already made the way
Faith ... is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen
So stand in faith
Because you already have the victory!
Jump start yourself into action
In just a few short minutes, you can have momentum on your side. Or you can be filled with regret. The choice is yours. Once you get started, it's easy to keep going.
For every excuse that prevents you from taking action, there's an equally compelling reason to just go ahead and do it. What do you really want to accumulate excuses or results?
Would you stand on the beach and throw gold coins into the ocean? Of course not. So why sit there and throw valuable, golden moments into oblivion? They're yours to use, but only if you use them now.

Turn Yourself Around
Turn yourself around. Rather than escalating the negative, do something positive. Give of yourself, play a game with your children, find someone to whom you can say "thank you."
There are many beautiful and valuable aspects to your life -- the people you love, experiences you've had, your spiritual faith, things you treasure and enjoy, places you've been, and everything that brings a sense of pure joy to you.
Refuse to let the negative influences control you. Draw strength from the beauty and wonder that is your life. Take the high road, and transcend the negative. When you're heading down the road of negativity, turn yourself around.

Stronger and Stronger
What are your strengths? What do you want them to be? Negative habits can be very strong, because they've been practiced for so long. Any new positive action will be weak by comparison at first. Keep it up and it grows stronger. Decide what you want to be strong at, and do it, again and again.
It is impossible to become a champion body builder in a single workout. Strength takes time and repetition to develop. Start today to build the strengths that will serve you best.

Surpass yourself
What have you done today to surpass yourself? What can you do right now that will challenge yourself to higher and higher accomplishment? If you look, you'll find plenty of ways to surpass yourself. No one knows better than you how to make the best of what you have. Start a positive spiral upwards. You have what it takes to make tomorrow even brighter than today.
If you constantly look over your shoulder and compare yourself to others, it can hold you back. Focusing on what you don't have leads to a mentality of lack and limitation. Instead, concentrate on what you do have, and on how to make it even better. Seek not to put yourself down, but rather to surpass yourself. Strive to improve on your own performance. The most effective competitors are those who set their own challenges and then surpass them.

Be Beautiful
Nothing stirs the spirit in quite the same way as beauty. There is something inside of us which resonates with productive, joyful energy in the presence of beauty.
Beauty is difficult to define, yet easy to recognize. It can exist on a grand scale, and in the smallest detail. Beauty is a mountain peak, the smiling eyes of a child, the intricate workings of a powerful machine, a musical passage, elegantly designed software, a convincing idea. Beauty compels and inspires like nothing else.
What do you do that's beautiful? You don't have to be a painter or a poet to create beauty. You don't have to be a supermodel to be beautiful. Anything undertaken with passion and commitment can produce beauty. The greatest, most celebrated achievements are always beautiful in their own unique way.
Be the best that you can be. In your work, your play, your world, your life, be beautiful.
Your Next Disappointment
There are a multitude of struggles, disappointments, and risks that are situated between you and your goal. If they didn't exist, you would already have reached the goal. The joy of achievement comes when you find the strength within yourself to work through the challenges.
Anything worth achieving takes effort. Anything worth achieving presents its own set of difficulties. The greater the obstacles, the greater the accomplishment.
What's your next disappointment? Find it, work through it, learn and grow. That's the essence of success.
Ten Rules for Taking Back Your Life
- Challenge yourself to use every 'bad' thing in your life as a new beginning.
- Find the 'good' in everything that you can.
- Don't expect the good things to be readily apparent. It may take a few days, weeks or even months before you finally see them.
- Allow yourself to realize your true power. This doesn't mean pushing people around, but looking for your hidden skills.
- Talk to yourself. Talking to yourself is a very powerful tool to use and it can help you increase your motivation and your ability to stick to a task.
- Stop expecting others to solve your problems. Even if you lost your job, it's an opportunity to look in a new direction, to acquire a new skill and to blaze a more pleasurable path in life.
- Throw out that 'yes, but' expression from your life. It's just a way of keeping yourself stuck in the mud.
- Take a good hard look at what you'd really like in life and sit down and begin making a list that outlines the steps you need to take. Not everyone needs to go to college to be happy. Find out where your happiness lies, if you don't want to go back to school. Abraham Lincoln did just fine with his self-learning plan.
- Beware of the negative people in your life. Pointing out the problems is fine, but some people only see doom and gloom and they can't be very helpful, unless you find that helpful.
- Remember that every road has unexpected turns and that any plan must be one that allows for some give and take. If there's one word for your plan to take back your life, let it be 'flexible' and go from there.

A Special Day
Our lives are full of special days -- holidays, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, days of celebration, days of remembrance, fellowship, and leisure. We treasure those special days when we take time to celebrate and enjoy life, when we get together with loved ones, when we give a little more of ourselves and find special pleasure in the simple joy of being alive.
And the most special day of all is... today! Because today is where we live. Today is full of possibility, ready and waiting to be filled with life and love. Today brings the opportunities and challenges which give meaning to life. In every moment of today, there is treasure.
Every day is special because we make it special. No matter what the calendar says, each and every day is full of opportunities for life, for love, for making dreams come true. The weeks, the months and the years come and go. Along the way we collect fond memories of the past and build hope for the future. Yet today is when we do our living, when we create the memories and fulfill the hopes.
Life is full of special days -- one right after the other. All the special days in the past have brought us here today. And all the special days to come, begin to take shape right now. Today is indeed a special day, a sacred gift that is ours to fulfill.

Learn and know
In fact, the more you share what you know the more valuable that knowledge becomes to you. In knowledge there is great and continuously growing power.
Do not be content to hear secondhand from others how the world works. Take the initiative and make the effort to learn for yourself, and gain real, useful knowledge.
The amount and quality of knowledge you have will determine to a large extent the quality of your life. When you know what you need to learn, and when you know how to find it, anything becomes possible.
You already have great knowledge and you have access to much, much more. Achievement comes from using your knowledge to drive your actions toward the goals you have chosen.
Every day, every situation, every experience is a learning opportunity. Make good, purposeful use of what you know and learn, and there is no limit to what you can achieve.
The best you can do
Do you live up to your expectations? Yes, you do. Because whatever you expect of yourself, is exactly what you'll get from life.
Are you living the life you truly want? Yes, you are. Because if you truly wanted anything else, you would find a way to have it.
What is the best you can do? What do you expect from yourself? What do you want from life? These things are completely under your control. You decide what is your best. You decide what to expect. And that is what you get.
The Rose within us
But it is we who fail to realise our potential and fail to put right efforts in the right directionending up in mere disappointment and blaming the fate.
The most difficult phase of life is not when noone understands you.But it is when you dont understand yourself.
Believe in yourself.
What is really important to you?
Often we react out of habit, and get all worked up about things which really don't even matter. Such behavior wastes an enormous amount of energy which could instead be directed toward the really important things.
As you start each day, before you get caught up in the deadlines, the need-to, the have-to and the want-to things, take a moment to think of what's really important to you. Put it all in perspective. Keep your eye on the big picture, and then all the little things will help you move toward it.

Creating Confidence
When you've already been successful at something, it is easy to be confident about it. So one reliable path to confidence is to start with small accomplishments and incrementally build on them. Most people who learn to fly, start with a small, single-engine plane and work their way up to larger, more powerful and more complex aircraft.
Experience is a great confidence builder. Yet in order to grow, you must also be able to act with confidence in new and unfamiliar situations. Many times it is necessary to create your own confidence. How do you do that? Remember that confidence is nothing more than a state of mind. You can completely control your own mind through the thoughts you think and the actions you take.
To be confident, act confidently. Walk confidently. Put a confident look on your face. Talk confidently. Breathe confidently. Confidently look people in the eyes when you talk with them. Stand confidently. It may sound superficial, but try it and you'll see that it works.
Mentally, go beyond mere belief and KNOW that you can do what needs to be done, that you can handle any situation. Remember that all the things you can now do, you once could not do. Be confident knowing that you learned then, and you can learn again now.
Act confidently, think confidently and you will be confident.

Value of 86,400
Every one of us has such a 'bank'. Its name is TIME. Every morning it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off as lost whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft.
Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the records of the day.If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back. There is no drawing against tomorrow. You must live in the present -on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!
The clock is running. Make the most of today!! And make it a great Day ahead!!

Remember the basics
You've probably seen this happen many times in your own town. A trendy restaurant will promote an exciting new "concept", draw crowds for a few months, and then lose most of its business to the next new fad. Meanwhile, other restaurants focus on perfecting their food, their service, their dependability, their cleanliness, their convenience and their reputation -- and build a loyal clientele which stays with them for the long haul.
Sometimes we become so familiar with the fundamentals, that we forget how important they are. Yet no one is so accomplished, or so highly experienced, that they can afford to ignore the basics.
Often the most exciting and significant results come from the most tedious efforts. Remember the basics. Persist and you will prevail.

Paradise
Do you pass by golden opportunities every day, during the few moments you spend outside the secure, comfortable prison cell that you've built for your life? Are the boundaries which separate you from true fulfillment, of your own making?
In each moment there is gold, waiting to be mined. In each friendship there is joy, waiting to be felt. In each problem there is wealth, waiting to be created. Open your eyes. Open your heart. Look around you, really look, and see the beautiful world where you could be living, if only you would.
Go for it
Success demands effort and sacrifice. Success demands your energy, your focus and your persistence. So make sure that the success you aim to achieve is worth the price you pay. Otherwise, you won't be willing to pay that price.
In the end, the low road is just as long and difficult as the high road. So go ahead and take the high road. Make the journey worth the effort. Life exacts a price, and you will surely pay it. So you might as well pay happily and reap the rewards.
Aim high, dream big, go for the best, and make your days count for all they're worth. Use your days to make a real difference. After all, what better use could they possibly have?

Another Minute
Or maybe you just let it go by, without making the best of it while it was here. Now it is gone forever and you can't get it back. And so it goes, day after day.
There are millions of things you can do with each minute. And in those minutes, life is lived, dreams are pursued, great cities are built, beautiful art is created, magnificent machines are designed, families are strengthened, businesses grow.
In every minute is the opportunity to jump on the road to success and fulfillment. It all depends on how you use it. A new minute is starting right now.

Thrive on challenge
Each challenge has within it great strength. Go out to meet the challenge, work your way steadily through it, and that strength becomes yours.
Challenge can be painful, inconvenient, embarrassing, tedious and time consuming. And that same challenge also gives life much of its meaning, flavor and fulfillment.
One of the kindest things you can do for someone else is to offer a respectful, meaningful challenge to that person. One of the smartest things you can do for yourself is to take on higher and higher levels of challenge.
Challenge sharpens your priorities and magnifies your performance. Lives of greatness positively thrive on challenge.
Choose to see each challenge as the opportunity for growth, satisfaction and achievement that it is. The world is overflowing with challenges, and inside each challenge you'll find truly immense value.
Yours to live
This day is yours to experience. This life is yours to live.
This world is a place in which you can act to make a positive, meaningful difference. This moment is one that's filled with possibilities.
It can often be difficult to make your way forward, and it is all too easy to lose sight of the unique and beautiful person you truly are. Take time to remember the best that is within you, and know that your authentic, miraculous life is stronger than any obstacle.
Choose to fill this day with your very own special expression of what it means to be alive. Right now is your opportunity to fulfill those yearnings that have always called to you.
You have the power to take any ordinary moment and put joy into it. Your happiness comes not from what you may seek to take away from life but from what you give, what you create, and what you share.
This is your moment to live with all the purpose and richness you can imagine. Realize that nothing is really holding you back, and make this the best day ever.

Destined to achieve
Trees grow toward the sky because that's what trees are meant to do. Storm clouds drop rain across the land because that's what clouds do.
You create new value and solve problems because that is what you are born to do. You make valuable use of opportunities to achieve because achievement is part of who you are.
Whatever else you may possess, you also have a diverse and powerful set of tools for achievement. You can observe, interpret, adjust, respond, prioritize, and imagine.
You can learn valuable lessons in one situation and put them to effective use in another, completely different arena. You can build and teach and cooperate and integrate the best of what has been into a vision of what can be.
In short, you are destined to achieve. Get your excuses, fears and doubts out of the way and allow that destiny to fully unfold.
Breathing room
How many times have you looked back on an occasion with the regret that you didn't simply enjoy yourself? There's nothing you can do about those past regrets, but there's plenty you can do about right now.
It's ridiculously easy to enjoy life, no matter what the situation. It's just a matter of letting go.
Let go of the worry and anxiety, of the anger and envy, of the need to be right and the need to control everyone else. Let go of the need to have everything your way.
Underneath all those layers of need and worry and negativity, there is pure joy. When you simply accept what is, and choose to enjoy the goodness in it, life can be wonderfully rich and beautiful.
Stop worrying and fighting so much, and start enjoying a little more. Give joy some breathing room and it will flourish in your life.
Truly care
There are those who depend on the work you are doing. Put yourself in their shoes, and look at the world from their perspective.
You have within you the potential for excellence. That excellence will be realized in your work when you truly care about each thing you do.
Do not fall into the trap of thinking that some particular task is somehow beneath you. Instead, seek to raise up the significance of that task by giving your very best to it.
Each effort is an opportunity to express your highest, most treasured values. Each job is a chance to transform your vision of what life can be into something real and concrete.
The greatest, most valuable achievements are those built with genuine passion. Put passion and sincere care into the work you do, and the results can be astounding.
So very much good
Have patience with the mistakes and follies of others. Instead of harsh criticism, offer genuinely helpful feedback so that everyone benefits.
Forgive early and forgive often. Set yourself free from the heavy burden of resentment, and move quickly beyond the pain.
Learn from your regrets, yet do not punish yourself with them. Today is a new day with more possibilities than ever before.
Be truly thankful for all that is, and for your opportunity to experience it. You'll discover great stores of goodness and value when you simply have faith that they're there.
Live beyond the petty, fleeting concerns, and focus on the profound and beautiful substance of your life. There is so very much good that you can always do with it.

Listen to your own dream
It's easy to let someone else make all your decisions for you -- when to show up for work, when to go home, what to do with your day, when to go to lunch and for how long, what to wear, how much money you will make, how much vacation time you'll get. That's the easy way out.
Reaching for a better life is not easy. It is uncomfortable. It takes courage, determination, commitment and action. Is it worth all that? You bet!
You have one life to live. Do you want to spend that life just getting by? Or do you want to make your own unique contribution to the world? The choice is yours. Life is wonderful and precious. Find what you want out of life and live it all the way.
Addicted to success
Look at how many people are addicted to cigarette smoking. It is a smelly, disgusting habit. It's expensive, unhealthy and alienates other people. Yet millions continue to do it. They are unwilling to stop themselves. Why? Because it makes them feel good. Or how about heroin? This addiction is on the rise again. Using herion requires involvement in an underground culture. It is expensive, it involves sticking a needle into one's own body, and it consumes and destroys life. Yet more and more people are doing it. Why?
Because it feels good.
Success can feel good, too. It can feel very good. And unlike tobacco or heroin, the "high" from success and accomplishment doesn't fade in a matter of hours.
Once you've had a small success, then it becomes easier to get addicted to success. The "high" of accomplishment makes you want more. That's why it is important to set some small, quickly attainable goals. When these goals are reached, you "feel good" and you look for ways to do it again. That's how most addictions start out -- small. Each time you experience success, savor it. Enjoy it. This is vitally important, because the more you "feel good", the more addicted you'll be.
Get yourself addicted to success, and you can't help but succeed. Start small, and really savor each accomplishment. You'll be "hooked" in no time. Because it feels so good, you won't want to stop.
Thoughts lead the way
Those things you've convinced yourself you cannot do, you will not do. By the same token, whatever you're absolutely certain that you can accomplish, you will indeed accomplish.
Your thoughts directly and persistently control your actions. And through your actions, you create much of the reality of your life.
Every achievement begins with a thought. And every achievement is supported all along the way by a continuous flow of positive, empowering thoughts.
You won't make something happen just by thinking about it. Yet the things you do cause to happen are those things upon which your thoughts are steadily focused.
Fill your mind with thoughts of positive purpose, joy, and meaningful achievement.
Let your thoughts lead the way to the life of your dreams.

Leaders Qualities
Leaders must learn to be strong without being rude.
Leaders are kind but not weak.
Leaders must be bold without being a bully.
Leaders are humble but not timid.
Leaders are proud but not arrogant.
And leaders are fun but not foolish.
Each of us has the potential for leadership: in our family, our community, our company. Leaders are the people who make something of themselves, and who bring out the best in others. When all is said and done, there are few things that can be more rewarding than to be an effective leader.

Micro goals
If you can keep the momentum going long enough, you can reach any goal you set out to achieve. To build and maintain that momentum often requires a gradual process of setting and reaching higher and higher goals.
This is where the concept of micro-goals can help. Micro-goals take the concept of "one day at a time" and break it down even further. Micro-goals will get you in the habit of setting goals, and in the habit of reaching them as well. This, in turn, will provide you with the experience of success on a regular and continuing basis.
What is a micro-goal? It is a small, easily achieved portion or fraction of a goal. Suppose your ultimate goal is to write a book. That is a daunting task, and one that cannot be easily achieved in an afternoon, a week, or even a month. So you break it into micro-goals. A micro-goal might be to write a paragraph in the next 5 minutes. Now that is something you can do immediately. Your success in reaching this micro-goal will come quickly, and the experience of that success will inspire you to set another goal. These fractional goals are all helping you reach your ultimate goal. However, since they are quickly achieved, they prevent you from being overwhelmed, while at the same time providing you with very positive feedback.
The key to reaching your ultimate goal is to attach these micro-goals end to end in an upward spiral. Use micro-goals to get yourself in the habit of setting and reaching goals, and to move steadily in the direction you have chosen.
Best of Luck friends!!!

Being Right!!!
Your attachment to "being right" can isolate you from others, and prevent you from exploring new possibilities.A spirited debate is very stimulating, with each side making reasonable arguments in favor of a particular point of view.
There is much to learn in such a discussion, if it is conducted in the spirit of finding new answers. If, however, the argument is just for the sake of "being right", to satisfy one's ego, then it is at best a waste of time, and often a counterproductive activity.
No one cares if you are right. No one likes to hear you say "I told you so." Being right gets you nothing but resentment.Instead, offer useful ideas and point of view in the spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
If you turn out to be right, people will know it. You don't have to remind them.

Gather the small opportunities
Overnight success almost never happens. And in the rare event when it does happen, there's a dreadful fear that it will disappear as quickly as it appeared.
Slow success is confident, lasting success. Success earned over time is success that you can genuinely enjoy, appreciate and continue to build upon.
Instant success depends upon being at exactly the right place at precisely the right time. Slow success, on the other hand, makes a small yet significant opportunity out of each moment and every situation.
Instead of wishing for immediate results, work patiently for the more realistic, reliable and valuable results that can only come with time and commitment. Steadily spread your success over time, and it will always be yours.
Every minute of every day there is a way to be slowly and steadily successful. Gather the small opportunities as they come, and the rewards will be great indeed.

Power of Positive Talk
One of my friend Mohan, send me this story, i don't know whose story is this, but its worth reading and has to know how our brain processes a command or words said to us.
Read and understand below story carefully friends...
I remember my dad teaching me the power of language at a very young age. Not only did my dad understand that specific words affect our mental pictures, but he understood words are a powerful programming factor in lifelong success. One particularly interesting event occurred when I was eight. As a kid, I was always climbing trees, poles, and literally hanging around upside down from the rafters of our lake house. So, it came to no surprise for my dad to find me at the top of a 30-foot tree swinging back and forth. My little eight-year-old brain didn't realize the tree could break or I could get hurt. I just thought it was fun to be up so high.
My older cousin, Tammy, was also in the same tree. She was hanging on the first big limb, about ten feet below me. Tammy's mother also noticed us at the exact time my dad did. About that time a huge gust of wind came over the tree. I could hear the leaves start to rattle and the tree begin to sway. I remember my dad's voice over the wind yell, "Bart, Hold on tightly." So I did. The next thing I know, I heard Tammy screaming at the top of her lungs, laying flat on the ground. She had fallen out of the tree. I scampered down the tree to safety. My dad later told me why she fell and I did not. Apparently, when Tammy's mother felt the gust of wind, she yelled out, "Tammy, don't fall!" And Tammy did. fall.
My dad then explained to me that the mind has a very difficult time processing a negative image. In fact, people who rely on internal pictures cannot see a negative at all. In order for Tammy to process the command of not falling, her
nine-year-old brain had to first imagine falling, then try to tell the brain not to do what it just imagined. Whereas, my eight-year-old brain instantly had an internal image of me hanging on tightly.
This concept is especially useful when you are attempting to break a habit or set a goal. You can't visualize not doing something. The only way to properly visualize not doing something is to actually find a word for what you want to do and visualize that. For example, when I was thirteen years old, I played for my junior high school football team. I tried so hard to be good, but I just couldn't get it together at that age. I remember hearing the words run through my head as I was running out for a pass, "Don't drop it!" Naturally, I dropped the ball.
My coaches were not skilled enough to teach us proper "self-talk." They just thought some kids could catch and others couldn't.. I'll never make it pro, but I'm now a pretty good Sunday afternoon football player, because all my internal dialogue is positive and encourages me to win. I wish my dad had coached me playing football instead of just climbing trees. I might have had a longer football career.
Here is a very easy demonstration to teach your kids and your friends the power of a toxic vocabulary. Ask them to hold a pen or pencil. Hand it to them. Now, follow my instructions carefully. Say to them, "Okay, try to drop the pencil." Observe what they do. Most people release their hands and watch the pencil hit the floor.. You respond, "You weren't paying attention. I said TRY to drop the pencil.. Now please do it again." Most people then pick up the pencil and pretend to be in excruciating pain while their hand tries but fails to drop the pencil.
The point is made.
If you tell your brain you will "give it a try," you are actually telling your brain to fail. I have a "no try" rule in my house and with everyone I interact with. Either people will do it or they won't. Either they will be at the party or they won't. I'm brutal when people attempt to lie to me by using the word try. Do they think I don't know they are really telegraphing to the world they have no intention of doing it but they want me to give them brownie points for pretended effort? You will never hear the words "I'll try" come out of my mouth unless I'm teaching this concept in a seminar.
If you "try" and do something, your unconscious mind has permission not to succeed. If I truly can't make a decision I will tell the truth. "Sorry John. I'm not sure if I will be at your party or not. I've got an outstanding commitment. If that falls through, I will be here. Otherwise, I will not. Thanks for the invite." People respect honesty. So remove the word "try" from your vocabulary.
My dad also told me that psychologists claim it takes seventeen positive statements to offset one negative statement. I have no idea if it is true, but the logic holds true. It might take up to seventeen compliments to offset the emotional damage of one harsh criticism.
These are concepts that are especially useful when raising children.
Ask yourself how many compliments you give yourself daily versus how many criticisms. Heck, I know you are talking to yourself all day long. We all have
internal voices that give us direction.
So, are you giving yourself the 17:1 ratio or are you shortchanging yourself with toxic self-talk like, " I'm fat. Nobody will like me. I'll try this diet. I'm not good enough. I'm so stupid. I'm broke, etc. etc."
If our parents can set a lifetime of programming with one wrong statement, imagine the kind of programming you are doing on a daily basis with your own internal dialogue.
Here is a list of Toxic Vocabulary words.Notice when you or other people use them.
Ø But: Negates any words that are stated before it.
Ø Try: Presupposes failure.
Ø If: Presupposes that you may not.
Ø Might: It does nothing definite. It leaves options for your listener..
Ø Would Have: Past tense that draws attention to things that didn't actually happen.
Ø Should Have: Past tense that draws attention to things that didn't actually happen (and implies guilt.)
Ø Could Have: Past tense that draws attention to things that didn't actually happen but the person tries to take credit as if it did happen.
Ø Can't/Don't: These words force the listener to focus on exactly the opposite of what you want. This is a classic mistake that parents and coaches make without knowing the damage of this linguistic error.
Examples:
Toxic phrase: "Don't drop the ball!"
Likely result: Drops the ball
Better language: "Catch the ball!"
Toxic phrase: "You shouldn't watch so much television."
Likely result: Watches more television.
Better language: "I read too much television makes people stupid. You
might find yourself turning that TV off and picking up one of those books more
often!"
Exercise:
Take a moment to write down all the phrases you use on a daily basis or any Toxic self-talk that you have noticed yourself using. Write these phrases down so you will begin to catch yourself as they occur and change them.
Forge a positive relationship with the world around you and the world will
Become a better place for you to live.
- Ralph Marston
Run towards the challenges
The time, effort and commitment you put into reaching the goal have their own rewards, over and above the achievement itself. They make you stronger, more disciplined, and more effective.
When great effort is called for, great opportunities abound. When challenges and difficulties surround you, there is much value to be created.
Instead of cursing the need for sustained and focused effort, be genuinely thankful for the chance. For you are designed and equipped to get things done, and life is superbly rewarding when you do.
When difficult work is called for, step quickly forward with enthusiasm. It is truly your moment to shine, to grow, and to create according to your best expectations.
Run toward the challenges. It is in those challenges that you will fulfill your greatest dreams.

Ten Ways Women Can Visualize Themselves as Leaders
Ask others what they think of your leadership abilities. You’ll be surprised at the positive response! You use leadership skills every day—managing your work group, getting the kids to school on time, supporting your favorite charity. Believe that you are a leader—your friends and colleagues already know you are.
2. Get Rid of the Guilt: I Don’t Deserve to Be a Leader
Why not? Leaders aren’t an alien species sent down to show us the way. They are everyday people like you and me. Think about a leader in your life—not someone famous, just someone you know that you’d follow anywhere. Do you think they thought they were a great leader? Do you think they knew that you’d be using them as an example of great leadership? Of course not.
3. Stop Looking for Leaders Who Look Like You
It’s hard to strive for leadership when there are few examples that look like you. Katharine Graham saw no other women CEOs of Fortune 500 companies on her way to becoming the first. Madam C.J. Walker saw no other African-American women millionaires on her way to becoming the first. Sally Ride saw no other American women in space on her way to becoming the first. It certainly makes it more difficult to lead where no one like you has gone before, but it’s not impossible…
4. What’s So Special About You?
You don’t have to be special to be a leader. You just have to have a passion to change something— that you still haven’t made time to take that class you wanted to take; that your child’s school won’t have an art program next year; that women still don’t receive equal pay for equal work. The issue may be large or small—it’s the size of your passion that makes you a leader.
5. Realize that Leaders Don’t Have to Make Sacrifices
Not if you have the right support system (see #8, below). Real leaders integrate their passion for change into their lives. The only thing you may have to sacrifice is your toleration of others’ placing unreal or unfair demands on you.
6. It’s OK to Focus on Small Issues, Instead of High Ideals
Someone once told me that one of the strongest leaders she knew was working on her local Little League board, trying to make the league run more efficiently and to inject more fun into the games. Leadership can be as big as moving a government to pass civil rights legislation; it can be as “small” as teaching a group of girls that they can be entrepreneurs if they choose to. As long as it’s a high ideal for you, you can take a leadership role in making it happen.
7. Think of Your Self
Leaders are not totally selfless—in most cases their passion for change grows because they are personally connected to the issue. The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is the leading organization funding research and treatment of pediatric AIDS. Elizabeth Glaser founded it after she discovered that she and her two children had become infected with HIV.
8. Asking for Help is OK
Oh really? Star athletes have coaches, elected officials have staff, great scientists have research assistants. Leaders cannot do what they do on their own; they know it’s OK to ask for help.
9. You Don’t Have to Influence the “Big” Stuff
If your passion is to change a small piece of your own world…go for it! Exercise your leadership muscle, and soon you’ll have influenced a whole range of small stuff, which will add up to something big.
10. You Don’t Have to Be Famous
I’m sure you can think of some great leaders that no one else has ever heard of—relatives, co-workers, teachers—people that you would follow anywhere. Great leadership doesn’t start with being famous; it starts with leading your self to the brink of change in that one area you’re passionate about. Then sticking with it to make that change happen!

Habit of success
People complain that "it's too hard to exercise every day." That's nonsense. Exercise and movement are joyful, natural conditions that make us feel great. It's not hard. It's just that they're in the habit of not exercising. Once they make the choice to exercise, it is no more difficult than sitting on the couch watching TV.
Success in anything can be summed up very concisely. It's really quite simple. First, know what you want and know the reasons you want it. Second, determine exactly what you need to do to get it. Third, make a habit of doing those things that you need to do. That's really all there is to it. It's not complicated, and it is within the reach of anyone.
Oh, yes, you may think you need to have the right amount of self esteem, or the proper training, or the ideal environment, or support from your family, or any number of things. While all these things are fine, they're not necessary. All that's needed is the desire, the plan, and the action. If your desire is strong enough, you'll find a way to get the things you need. If your plan is well-constructed, it will take you where you want to go, as long as you have the discipline to follow through on it.
Life is the result of choices. You are where you are because of the choices you have made in the past. Your future depends on the choices you make today. You can choose to have that extra beer, or you can choose to read another chapter in a good book. You can choose to act on an opportunity, or you can choose to sleep late. All these choices add up to your situation in life. And if you get in the habit of making the right choices, the choices that move you closer to your goals, then you'll fulfill the enormous potential that is inside of you.

From child labour to Pandit
Recently, my frind has send me a document about a great person who is not famously known but his deeds are really great that are not less than the deeds of many reamrkable persons we know in the history. He was a child labour initially, but leading his life as a pandit now. Afer reading the article i remebered a line in my mind that "Taking birth as unknown is not our fault but dying as unknown is our fault" that means we may take birth as unknown to the world, but with the life given as gift to us, we have to do something so that we are remembered after our death. I heartfully salute Saheb ji.
Actually donating one crore out of your 10 creore propety is not a great deal but having only Rs10 in your hand for living the day and giving it to another person who is in need of that Rs10 is a great deal!!!
Every one has to think about how much they are giving to the society from where they grown and learned many lessons?
i leave the answer to the readers...

Story by Buddha
A young man, distraught over his uncle's death, went to the Buddha, believing that the Buddha's teaching was a newer, greater form of religion, and asked him for a ritual which would release his uncle's soul. The Buddha told him to obtain two of the ritual urns from the priests, and fill one with butter and and one with stones.
The young man, believing he was about to get a more powerful ritual, was very happy and did as the Buddha said. When he returned, the Buddha told him to place the urns carefully in the river, so that the rim of the urn was just below the surface. Then he instructed him to recite the usual prayer of the priests, and strike both urns under the water with the hammer, at the usual point in the prayer, then come back and describe what happened.
The young man, very excited to be the first person to be given this wonderful new ritual, more effective than the old, did exactly as he was told. On his return, the Buddha asked him to describe what he saw. The young man replied "I saw nothing unusual. When I smashed the urns, the stones sank to the bottom of the river and the butter was washed away on the surface of the river."
The Buddha said "Then you must ask your priests to pray that the butter will sink and the stones will float to the surface!" The young man, shocked by the obvious ridiculousness of this request said "But no matter how much the priests pray, the stones will never float and the butter will not sink."
The Buddha replied, "Exactly so. And, it is the same with your uncle. Whatever good, loving actions he has done during his life will make him rise towards heaven, and whatever bad, selfish actions he has done will make him sink towards hell. And there is not a thing that all the prayers and rituals of the priests can do to alter even a tiny part of the results of his actions!"

Does we need to celebrate Mother's Day in India?
I all abpve scenarios i found some people celebrated in the honor of individual's mother and some people celebrated for the Godess who is mother of all Gods.
In Indian prospective, we celebrate Devi Navarathri's in the name of Shakthi who created this whole world and considering her as mother of all Gods and Gandharvas.
And celbrating Mother's day for our own mother's will be in remmebering her care, her tears shed for bringing us up, and many more million things she gave us, ... Does this seems to be controlling all our feelings and expressing our feelings to our mother must be made to only this day?
What about all other days...does we simply ignoring the importance of our mother in our day-to-day life?
How many poeple are living in India with out thinking that "If it is my mother... she can do this, she will say like this...she will be like this..." ;
So to my knowledge celbrating Mther's Day in Indian culture is giving disrespect to our culture of respecting, honoring our Mother every day.
So, frinds, dont celebrate the day, and no person will forget their Mother, as she is who, with out her, you are not here in this world.
if you stay away, dont call your mother and say that on this occasion of Mother's Day, i am remembering you which makes her feel sad about your rememberance.

Save Water with your personal habits
Saving Water!!!
How? It is not that much critical, by your simple habits can make a lot of difference. see my experiences here:
In my home, there is a little garden maintained by my mother. We use a water container to water the plants, because less water can be consumed if water the plants from top. People who have gardens in their homes,has to water the plants in the early mornings and evenings after sunset.
My mother use water that remains after washing our clothes, with out letting them go waste.In my GrandMa's home, there was a big garden. My grandpa prepared paths to flow water from the bathrooms so that we pour water in the ground or we wash the cloths, all water will be sent through the paths to the plants.
Now i am feleing happy that unknowingly i have learnt many water saving tips from our elders in home. Why dont you also habitual to some of these tips:
-> Keep showers closed when no need
-> Use only a little water in the bathtub
-> Turn off the water while brushing your teeth
-> Put water in the sink when washing up
-> Flush the toilet only when necessary. Don’t use it to flush tissues
-> Use a broom or cloth to clean the driveway or sidewalk
-> Use a bucket when washing the car
-> Use a turn-off nozzle on the end of the hose to adjust the water flow and turn the water off and on
-> Put water in the kitchen sink to wash and rinse dishes
-> Run the dishwasher only when it’s full
-> Run the washing machine only when it’s full
Frinds when you find some more tips to save water post them in comments....

WiMAX promises to transform wireless Internet world
A WiMAX network of the kind to be deployed across the United States by a joint venture dubbed Clearwire may render cable or phone line Internet obsolete and set the stage for free Google mobile telephones supported by advertising.
"It is like mobile Internet in your pocket," said Scenna Pabesh, a spokeswoman for nonprofit WiMAX Forum, an industry group that promotes interoperability of networks and devices using the format.
"Anything you could imagine doing in your office or on a hefty Internet connection at home you are going to be able to do on the go."
WiMAX is deployed in 110 countries and Wednesday's unveiling of Clearwire should ensure the United States joins those ranks, according to Pabesh.
The Asian Pacific region leads in WiMAX adoption. South Korea is considered a "success model" with 150,000 people, most of them in Seoul, subscribing to WiMAX mobile services, she said.
WiMAX quickly moves large amounts of digital data such as video or picture files across kilometers, as compared to Wi-Fi connections available in cyber cafes or other "hot spots" where signals reach a few hundred meters or less.
"It is really Wi-Fi on steroids, but the trick is getting it rolled out," Silicon Valley analyst Rob Enderle told AFP.
"It is actually a game changer if Clearwire can bring it out. For the consumer it is cheaper, faster and you are not locked down to home or Starbucks."
WiMAX takes advantage of broadband frequency spectrums and was likely on Google's mind when it got US regulators to make open access a condition in a recent 700 MHz spectrum auction.
WiMAX connections are so data-rich and inexpensive that it would be feasible for online colossus Google to market a "Gphone" that offers mobile telephone and Internet services supported by advertising, Enderle said.
WiMAX also holds the potential to deliver high-speed Internet to remote locations because towers can relay WiMAX signals long ranges.
While the Clearwire network is not expected to be deployed in the United State for several years, Wednesday's announcement is seen as a "bellwether" by the industry, according to Pabesh.
"This can only be good news for WiMAX and its propagation worldwide," Pabesh said. "We expect WiMAX to become a mass market technology in the next two or three years. It is really bringing mobile broadband to the masses."
Clearwire is one of the largest WiMAX spectrum owners worldwide, with an emphasis on Europe, according to WiMAX Forum.
"What a lot of people overlook is that WiMAX is already quite successful and new deployments are coming online rapidly," Pabesh said.
Sprint Nextel and Clearwire said they would combine their networks in a new company, to be named Clearwire, to deploy a nationwide WiMAX network that will "dramatically enhance the speed and manner in which customers access all that the Internet has to offer."
The new firm will start with a combined 3.2 billion dollars of investment from Internet search giant Google, computer chip maker Intel, cable firms Comcast and Time Warner Cable and service provider Bright House Networks.

» Use the "ON/OFF" function on the machine itself. A TV set that's switched on for 3 hours a day and in standby mode during the remaining 21 hours uses about 40% of its energy in standby mode.
» Check your tires weekly to make sure they're properly inflated. Proper tire inflation can improve mileage by more than 3% which in turn reduces the CO2 emissions.
» PLANT A TREE . A single tree will absorb one ton of carbon dioxide over its lifetime. Shade provided by trees can also reduce your air conditioning bill by 10 to 15%.
» DECREASE YOUR FOOD MILES. Buy locally grown and produced foods.
» Choose products that come with little packaging and buy refills when you can. You will also cut down on waste production and energy use...
» REUSE YOUR SHOPING BAGS. When shopping, it saves energy and waste to use a reusable bag instead of accepting a disposable one in each shop. Waste not only discharges CO2 and methane into the atmosphere, it can also pollute the air, groundwater and soil.
» BUY FRESH FOODS INSTEAD OF FROZEN. Frozen food uses 10 times more energy to produce.
» Reduce the number of miles you drive by walking, biking, carpooling or taking mass transit wherever possible. Avoiding just 15 kilometres of driving every week would eliminate about 227 kgs of carbon dioxide emissions a year!
» Encourage the switch to renewable energy. Successfully combating global warming requires a national transition to renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and biomass.
» DO NOT CUT TREES. Protect and conserve forest worldwide. Forests play a critical role in global warming: they store carbon. When forests are burned or cut down, their stored carbon is release into the atmosphere - deforestation now accounts for about 20% of carbon dioxide emissions each year.
Some of the smart Green Class Corporates say!!
• Turn off the photocopying machine at night. Else, it uses energy to produce more than 1000 copies.
• SWICH OFF all lights before locking up. Leaving lights overnight uses energy equivalent to heating water for 1000 cups of tea.
• Switch off your computer monitor overnight. You'll save enough energy to microwave six dinners.
• Switch off as many office equipment as u can. In one night, this will save the energy required to run a small car for 150 kms or to make 4,500 cups of tea.
» Spread the message. Stand for the cause. If people don't care don't stop .innovate. Some call them selves Unstoppable and when they become the voice of the nature.we call them " THE GREEN CLASS ".

Visual Studio 2008 Certification
If you are partially through an MCAD or MCSD track, you can finish them. MCAD/MCSD won’t expire. However, at some point this year retirement of those exams will be announced (usually with a year’s notice) so keep that in mind, keep an eye out for a formal announcement, and get a move on. For that reason, too, It is not recommend starting a MCAD or MCSD track from the beginning now - instead consider exams in the MCTS/MCPD family.
If you work with Visual Studio 2005, start (or finish) a Visual Studio 2005 certification track. As long as you are working with VS2005 those certs will have value, one of the exams is part of your 2008 track and there will be a 2005 to 2008 option, for when/if you want to transition your certification to 2008.
If you want to start a VS2008 track from scratch (or if you are MCAD/MCSD and want to wait for 2008), you can start now on 70-536.
In Visual Studio 2008 Certification, MCTS options grown to six from three in VS 2005.
VS 2008 MCTS

Visual Studio 2005 certification series MCTS and MCPD
Many developers are still not aware of the introduction of new exams and still opt for MCAD & MSCD, which involves only VS 2003, which most of the developers are not using.
Certifications can be achieved in 3 stages.
MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional, involves 1 paper) -> MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, 2 papers) -> MCPD (Microsoft Certified Professional Developer, MCTS +1 paper).

Programmatically build GridView dynamically in ASP.NET 2.0
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Many times we have the requirement where we have to create columns dynamically.
This article describes you about the dynamic loading of data using the DataTable as the datasource.
Details of the Grid
Let’s have a look at the code to understand better.
Create a gridview in the page,
Drag and drop the GridView on to the page
Or
Manually type GridView definition in the page.
public partial class _Default : System.Web.UI.Page
{
#region constants
const string NAME = "NAME";
const string ID = "ID";
#endregion
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
loadDynamicGrid();
}
private void loadDynamicGrid()
{
#region Code for preparing the DataTable
//Create an instance of DataTable
DataTable dt = new DataTable();
//Create an ID column for adding to the Datatable
DataColumn dcol = new DataColumn(ID ,typeof(System.Int32));
dcol.AutoIncrement = true;
dt.Columns.Add(dcol);
//Create an ID column for adding to the Datatable
dcol = new DataColumn(NAME, typeof(System.String));
dt.Columns.Add(dcol);
//Now add data for dynamic columns
//As the first column is auto-increment, we do not have to add any thing.
//Let's add some data to the second column.
for (int nIndex = 0; nIndex < 10; nIndex++)
{
//Create a new row
DataRow drow = dt.NewRow();
//Initialize the row data.
drow[NAME] = "Row-" + Convert.ToString((nIndex + 1));
//Add the row to the datatable.
dt.Rows.Add(drow);
}
#endregion
//Iterate through the columns of the datatable to set the data bound field dynamically.
foreach (DataColumn col in dt.Columns)
{
//Declare the bound field and allocate memory for the bound field.
BoundField bfield = new BoundField();
//Initalize the DataField value.
bfield.DataField = col.ColumnName;
//Initialize the HeaderText field value.
bfield.HeaderText = col.ColumnName;
//Add the newly created bound field to the GridView.
GrdDynamic.Columns.Add(bfield);
}
//Initialize the DataSource
GrdDynamic.DataSource = dt;
//Bind the datatable with the GridView.
GrdDynamic.DataBind();
}
}
